It also within her budget. It has to crossover or SUV, 4wd or AWD, a manual, & $15k-$20k.
$19,999cad/$14,828usd
194,842kms/121,069miles.
I’m not saying it is a good idea, but its not a bad idea either.

Yes.
Do it.

If you’re going to get a Touaurruregggg, there is only one correct choice:

Very nice, just be prepared to pay the price for parts. If you don’t wrench for mom, find her a really good indy for the PPI and work needed over the coming years.

Uhhhhh, if she didn’t want a Mini because of reliability issues, than a Porsche with over 120k miles is a bad idea.

That’s some serious depreciation. Brand new those sold for over $74k. Looks to be in good shape still, but that’s a whole lot of miles.

But... but fancy VW!

Do it. Brakes are expensive, but since it’s not an early S model with the Lokasil cylinder coating, it’s pretty much bulletproof. Porsche engineered their variant of the Cayenne really well. Set aside $4k for new air springs and compressor a couple years down the road, and they’re amazing value for money.

A 7 year old Porsche with 121,000+ mi and a limited warranty is ok but a newer Mini with a factory warranty is a no go on reliability grounds?

Get a Tiguan and be done with it.
Also, is that an Elephant tusk for a shift knob?

She wants a manual. It’s a $20k Porsche Cayenne, some cosmetic flaws are expected.

That $20k Porsche is going to end up costing $35k real quick. But damn it looks good doing it

I won’t be paying to fix, and my dad can easily afford the maintenance for it. I just might drive it once in a while.

Then it’s pretty perfect, I don’t think manual gts prices are going much lower. Surprisingly there are a few around Canada for sale. They are very robust vehicles, I would be more concerned with a comprehensive service history, than mileage. Costly to run but in a class of one... what are your options

There was a manual Tiguan.

You know this is the inevitable conclusion to your requirements. Budget should just cover a low-ish mileage manual one.
